Armordillo is a master mechanic and explosives expert who carts a vast array of tools and devices around beneath his heavily armored shell. His specialty is constructing brilliantly elaborate traps and then waiting silently and patiently (with a patience that borders on supernatural in his comrades eyes) for however many days or weeks it takes for a Predacon to stumble into it. His satisfaction when they inevitably do makes it all worth while. In addition to his tools and devices he has an impressive optic array, a hidden laser weapon, and a Morningstar melee weapon that combined with his heavy armor make up for the fact that he moves extremely slowly.

Spanish name: Armadillo
Italian name: Armodillo
Japanese name: Armor
French name (Canada): Tatou

FictionEdit

IDW Beast Wars comicsEdit

Armordillo was one of the protoforms left behind by the crew of the Axalon on prehistoric Earth. He was activated and put in chronal phase by Razorbeast at Magmatron's request, but was protected from Magmatron's Predacon shell-program by Razorbeast's viral code.

Soon after awakening, he joined up with Bantor, Noctorro, Stinkbomb, and K-9 to free Torca from a tar pit. After following Razorbeast's signal for days, and picking up more Maximals along the way, Armordillo rode into battle against Magmatron's Predacons atop Torca, presumably joining up with Razorbeast's army after their victory.

Beast WarsEdit

  • Armordillo (Basic)
Armordillo is a flipchanger, transforming from an armadillo, as per the pun, to robot. Contained inside an armadillo foot is a laser gun. Inside another is a mace. The mold was later used for Bump and Psycho-Orb.
In Japan, Armordillo was sold exclusively with Snapper and the Maximal Volcano Base.
