Bolar is a typical Predacon thug: he's not very bright, he doesn't respect his commander, and he likes to flog people with an Energon bola.

Bolar and Sawtooth served under Steelgrave at a Predacon base which held the Maximal prisoner Wing Saber. When Wing Saber escaped from the interrogation room in which she was being held, she tricked Bolar and Sawtooth into attacking their commander. She escaped in the diversion. Steelgrave, at least, survived the fight; Bolar's fate is unrevealed. The Razor's Edge
