Spike now knows how Dudley Do-Right feels.

Carly first met Spike, who quickly fell in love with her, and Bumblebee at the Robots Video Arcade as she finds the Autobots amazing. After they left, Carly was amazed by Spike's friendship with the Autobots as she follows him and Bumblebee to where they were going. Carly follows Spike and the Autobots to the forest but was discovered by Ironhide as she explains to him that she just wanted to watch. However, Carly soon feels guilty because the Decepticons stole Wheeljack new invention, the Immobilizer. After the Decepticons retreated, Carly follows Spike and Bumblebee back to Autobot headquarters. At the base, Carly befriends Ironhide as she notices that he also blames himself for the theft of the immobilizer and he shows her around the base. Wanting to fix her mistake, Carly takes one of the Autobots weapon and left for Decepticons headquarter. However, Carly was discovered and kidnapped. Fortunately, Carly was rescued by Ironhide then assured a worried Spike and Bumblebee, who went looking for her when they discover what she was up to, that she was fine thanks to their friend. After hoping into Bumblebee, Carly immediately fell in love with Spike when she saw how much he cared about her and was willing to risk a lot for her. However, they didn't get very far when they notice that Ironhide was not behind them as they see he had been Immobilize by the Decepticons but Optimus Prime and some of his fellow Autobots arrive. Seeing a couple of Autobots being immobilize, Carly came up with a plan as she had Brawn tunnel underground and Jazz distract the Decepticons. While the Decepticons were distracted, Carly reveres the Immoblizer process as it unfroze Ironhide and he was able to save the rest of his fellow Autobots then destroyed the invention so it wouldnā€™t be used for evil again, which motivated the Decepticons to retreat. Through her efforts, Carly was accepted as their new human buddy and Spike asks her out, after hearing that sheā€™s attending MIT, as she accepts his offer for a date.[1] The Immobilizer

Carly and Spike later went on a dangerous mission to Cybertron to retrieve more Cybertonium, an element the Autobots needed to survive. Carly's technical know-how once again proved useful as she, Spike and the Dinobots outwitted Shockwave and stole some Cybertonium. She was very impressed with Cybertron's design and layout. Unfortunately, the trip had several drawbacks; among them, Shockwave disintegrated her car (Decepticreep!), and she twisted her ankle. Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2

When Daniel and Grimlock wandered off from a diplomatic function on Cybertron and found themselves in the alternate dimension of Menonia, Carly insisted on accompanying the Autobots who went after them. Madman's Paradise

Apparently, doing anything constructive with her degree from MIT wasn't a priority for Carly, as she became strictly a doting housewife by 2011. Her new duties included: serving coffee, worrying about things, and getting injured so that men could rescue her.

However, it's nothing to get upset about because, as we all know, Japan has the utmost respect for women.
