Charlene is a human in the Generation One continuity family.
Charlenecowgirl

She shows up to work dressed like this. It's a good thing she daydreams about the Old West and not, say, gorillas.

Charlene is a country girl who works as a cashier at Wild Bill's Market in a small Wyoming town. She lives her life in her daydreams, yearning to be a part of the romanticized Old West she idolizes from old cowboy films.

Her coworker Wendell would like to date her, but she's too caught up in pretend adventure to notice.

Fiction[]

Marvel Comics continuity[]

After her old car had to be put down, Charlene depended on her friend Wendell's truck for transportation. One day after work, she convinced him to take a detour into the wilderness to find some old goldmine trails. Instead, she found an old wrecked van, turned on its side, with the radio still playing.

Wendell knew people who could get it fixed, but as she was pulling out of the shop, some crazy guy in a purple lamborghini tried to run them off the road. After the van pulled off otherworldly, impossible stunts to evade the other car, it introduced itself to her as the alien Transformer robot Skids.

You wish you were Skids.

Over the next few days, she became very close with Skids, as they were both daydreamers at heart. However, Skids' wartorn past caught up to him when Donny Finkleberg hunted him down, with the Decepticon Ravage in pursuit. It soon became apparent to Skids that he could run from reality no longer and must give up his daydreams, stop being her car, and return to the Autobots. Charlene echoed the sentiment regarding her own life, and decided she should probably stop ignoring Wendell, even if he was pretty dull. Showdown!
