- Elephan is a Beastformer in the Generation 1 continuity family.
Elephan is one of the many Beastformers who joined White Leo's resistance forces as Galvatron's Decepticons began to conquer the formerly-peaceful planet Beest with their army of cold-blooded insurgents. His role in the Autobot-allied Beastformer forces is a transportation combatant. He also holds the rank of King of Shutoru, in whose eponymous main city he was born, over Emperor Wild Thunder.

- Elephan is an anthropomorphic lavendar African elephant in high-tech black armor. His left hand has been replaced with a hammerhead. He comes with his "Elehammer" lance (yes, the Elehammer lance). He has one of three rubsigns on his chest, revealing the elemental power of fire, water, or wood.

- Later in 1987, Elephan was reissued in the third wave of Beastformers, in new packaging with no Transformers logos or insignia. His bio card still featured the Autobot symbol.
