Optimus Prime is the charismatic leader of the Autobirds. His courage and compassion inspire everyone he meets. He's brave, powerful, wise, and just all-round awesome.
If he has one weakness it's that he's always focused on the well-being of his fellow Autobirds. Also, he's straightforward and to the point - so don't expect him to crack any jokes. And he sometimes loses his temper, too.
Gameplay[]
Optimus Prime will be the player's starting character. His weapon is a basic blaster that fires small blue bolts, but progressing through the game and upgrading him will increase his rate and destruction of firepower. Optimus, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.

Where Optimus Prime is a leader, Ultra Magnus is a dedicated soldier, 100% focused on protecting the innocent. That may make him a bit blunt, sure, but he's got a job to do.
Ultra Magnus is extremely disciplined when carrying out the mission at hand - and right now that's to the end the destruction of Piggy Island and keep the EggBots from trashing everything.
Gameplay[]
Ultra Magnus is unlocked at the first 2 levels of the new forest area. It costs 500 pigs to unlock and save him. He has a rapid fire purple blaster, which automatically reloads overtime after the round is spent. Upgrading Magnus' weapon will increase not only his rate and firepower, but also the reloading time. He, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.

His Energon overcharged weapon is enormously powerful, but Energon is volatile, so he takes a lot more damage, too! But Chuck doesn't care. He uses Energon Optimus Prime as a reading lamp.
Gameplay[]
This version of Optimus Prime is unlocked after digging even further into the game and is located in the 4th area of the game. It costs 2400 pigs to unlock and save him. Unlike other Optimus birds, he gets an increase in survivability, due to the fact that restoring cyber-formed objects can heal an Energon-fuelled character, but he also takes more damage. Energon Optimus' blaster can fire much larger bolts that do more damage, but has to reload after three shots. Upgrading him further will increase his rate of firepower and reloading time. He, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.

Warning: Variant characters are for expert players! If they complete an Event they earn loads of bonus Coins, but if they fail they get... nothing. Ouch!
Gameplay[]
This recolored version of Optimus Prime is unlocked after digging even further into the game. It costs 2600 pigs to unlock and save him. Ultimate Optimus Prime, like other "Variant Version" squad members, has better armor and a blaster that can obliterate most blocks in one shot, but has a much slower rate of fire than his other variants. Upgrading him further will increase his firing speed and destruction rate. He, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.
(Tip from Writer: As a "Variant Version" squaddie, he also gets double-or-nothing coins in events: don't make it through the level and you get nothing! So, better stay alive!)

Nemesis Prime was created to be a dark opposite of Optimus Prime, to cause mayhem and trouble whenever he want. But the EggBots had forgotten two things: Angry Bird Red is a hero! And Optimus Prime is a hero!
So now Nemesis Prime fights for good; helping his teammates battle to reclaim Piggy Island! Ha! In your eggy face, silly EggBots!
Gameplay[]
Nemesis cannot be unlocked in-game, but he can be bought via In-app purchase, Challenge Event prizes/token exchange. It costs 7500 tokens to purchase and unlock him. Nemesis Prime's anti-gravity gun doesn't do much damage per shot. Instead, it launches pigs and blocks into the air as they drop to their doom. To reach maximum lift, aim directly at pigs or for the top few blocks of the tower. He, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.

Some say Epic Optimus is gold because he's a rare special edition, others say he tricked himself out for a career i hip hop. Rumors also have it that he stands on a battlefield, burning enemies with reflected sunlight like Archimedes. All I know, is that he's EPIC!

Like Nemesis Prime Bird, Epic Optimus can't be unlocked in-game, but can be bought via the "Chinese New Year" Challenge Event's token exchange. It costs 5000 tokens to purchase and unlock him. This golden Optimus Prime has a very different weapon from his other counterparts, an instant-hit tractor beam. It also has a magnetic ability to pull things apart. He, like many of his other in-canon counterparts, transforms into a semi-truck with his head as the cab. Upgrading him further will increase his durability and allow him to drive faster.
