- Chrome is a redeco of the "Corona" version of the Mini-Con Sparkplug, transforming into a Cybertronic sports car. He was sold as part of the second Micron Booster assortment (called "Ver.1") in Japan, in individual, blind-packed boxes so you did not know which Mini-Con you got until you opened the box and opaque black plastic bag inside.
- Chrome uses the same mold as Synapse and Road Rebel. The original version of the mold is used by Atlas and Drop-Test.

- Chrome's name is most likely named after "Chrome", the small Transformer who can transform into Chromedome's head in Japanese G1 continuity, as the first three Micron Booster assortment "headliners"123 have names similar to Japanese Autobot leaders/protagonists.123 What this means for his social standing among the Mini-Cons is uncertain.
