The name or term Landslide refers to more than one character or idea. For a list of other meanings, see Landslide (disambiguation).

Landslide was to be a Decepticon from the Cybertron portion of the Unicron Trilogy continuity family.
Decep-Landslide01

He looks like he belongs with the Liege Maximo.

Landslide would have been one of the many Decepticons involved in the search for the Cyber Planet Keys.

What he would have done if you saw his reflection in a snow-covered hill is unknown.

Unreleased[]

A planned redeco of Cybertron Mudflap, Landslide transforms into a construction crane with an extending arm. In either robot or vehicle mode, inserting a Cyber Key into the crane base would allow him to exend the crane arm even further and flip out a sawblade weapon.

Ultimately, Landslide was not put into production due to the low sales of Mudflap himself. As his sales were relatively higher, it was decided to redeco Vector Prime instead, resulting in the Cybertron Galaxy Force Vector Prime figure.

Your bargaining posture is highly dubious.

Notes[]

BotCon-Landslides01

Four pictures, three unused Landslides.

  • Four versions of Landslide's deco sheet were shown at the BotCon 2006 Hasbro panel. The main picture of this article depicts what would have been his final colors had he gone into production.
  • Initially, when you inserted Galaxy Force Vector Prime's Cyber Key code on Hasbro's official Transformers website, it displayed the appropriate Vector Prime-related information. Inexplicably - for a few days - Landslide's name and a blank page came up when you inserted this same code, but then it switched back to being about Vector Prime.
  • Although the name "Landslide" and that a Mudflap redeco was in the works were both tidbits floating around in the fandom, that they were one and the same was not confirmed until BotCon 2006 by Hasbro employees.
  • The presenters at the BotCon 2006 Hasbro panel stated there was some uncertainty about Landslide's final allegiance, but they decided he would be a Decepticon in the end.
  • Awesome inside sources revealed that Takara might have had their own plans for a Mudflap/Demolishor redeco with the working name "Scavenger". It's quite possible that Landslide/Scavenger was originally even supposed to be a show character, but for the same reasons that led to other Galaxy Force redecos ending up being limited (Master Galvatron), store exclusives (Dark Ligerjack) or not being released at all in Japan (Armbullet), Takara apparently decided to cancel the Demolishor repaint altogether. Presumably, that decision was made early enough so Gonzo wouldn't have him appear on the show in the first place. An internal toy/character sheet dating from February 2005 simply states "no anime appearance" in the place where Scavenger's final name would have been listed.
