Hedgehog is a Beastformer in the Generation One continuity family.

Born in Hogs Town, Hedgehog had a great life until the Decepticons invaded his homeworld, Beest, raising an insurgent army from the dissatisfied cold-blooded Beastformers. As the Decepticon-allied Beastformers conquered the planet, Hedgehog joined White Leo's resistance army, becoming a Special Forces combatant. Along with Rabbit Kid, he was shot into space to track down the good Cybertronians, the Autobots, to help drive off the Decepticons and restore the old regime. He also holds the rank of King of Hogland, over Emperor Death Spider... who fights on the opposite side in the war. Okay then.

Hedgehog has close bonds with fellow soldiers Rabbit Kid and the avuncular Yellow Giraffe.
