-Animated Huffer

Hey, paesanos! It's Huffer! For he and his younger brother, Pipes, plumbing's their game. It's not a terribly glamorous game, and Huffer complains about it constantly. Deep down, though, he does love his job, even if it means he spends most of his time in the sewers.

Both Huffer and his brother have special arms. In Huffer's case, he has sensors in them that can test the strength, elasticity, and other structural qualities of the pipes he's working on.

Notes[]

  • Huffer was first revealed on April 1st 2009 on Derrick Wyatt's blog, as part of a group shot of characters who may or may not have gone on to appear in the cartoon. While Huffer did, his lookalike, Pipes (based on the original Pipes, who was himself a retool of the original Huffer) did not.
  • Unlike the G1 Huffer, this guy loves his job! This is a deliberate decision by Jim Sorenson, that Huffer doesn't have his original personality yet as it was the result of being stranded on Earth.
  • Huffer's character model is based pretty heavily on Nintendo mascot Mario, the mustachioed plumber of the Super Mario Bros. series. Pipes looks like his brother Luigi.
