So by the notation, this symbol originated with 3H? Was it applied retroactively? Might be worth explaining on the insignia page, but I want to make sure I have it right first.--Rosicrucian 20:47, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, this symbol first appeared int he Botcon 2001 comic, Wreckers #1. --Derik 23:26, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay, then the only other question is if it's exclusively a Universe meta-continuity symbol, or if it was intended to retroactively be Wrecker insignia in prior continuity.--Rosicrucian 23:28, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
I really doubt that Tengu et. al. would claim that the Wreckers "really" had this symbol on them all along in the UK comics or whatever. In the timeline that leads to the Wreckers/Universe comics -- some version of the hybrid-G1->BW timeline -- those Wreckers might have used the symbol all along, but we have no way of knowing. It also might have been a new symbol. --Steve-o 00:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I mainly ask because it's presently listed in G1, and there's no section for Universe yet. I'm trying to write up blurbs for some of the more interesting insignia to make the page more informative.--Rosicrucian 00:52, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Well, it'd be pretty wrong to call Wreckers 'Universe,' seeings as how Universe didn't exist until several years later. Wreckers was a BM comic, basically. And it shows up in the G1 flashback sequence. -Derik 02:02, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
Two of the three released Wreckers comics were published under the "Universe" banner. Also, the "G1 flashback sequence" takes place after the end of the war. --ItsWalky 02:08, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I've presently left it under G1 for now, if anyone cares to check my work. I'd be equally happy with it going under either G1 or Beast Machines considering what I'm hearing here.--Rosicrucian 02:34, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it belongs in the G1 category -- it's only appeared in Beast Machines/Universe fiction. --ItsWalky 03:57, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
But that appearance takes place before the Beast Era began, so defining it as being from that era is misleading, even if it only appeared in that era's fiction. -Derik 23:24, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I'd just like to point out (for the future editor who will someday ask this question) that yes, that is the the way this logo looks, with all the inconsistent line spacing. It looks terribly wrong and slopped-together-- but that is how it appears in the official fiction. *shakes head* I welcome a future appearance by a better-looking version of the logo that will let us discard this one- but for the moment... this is what it officially looks like. -Derik 23:24, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

A guy on DeviantArt did a cleaned up version of the wrecker's logo at http://dhlarson.deviantart.com/#/d461zmh Someone at that other wiki suggested it but it got turned down. I would agree if the current one is official then any variation shouldn’t be used even if the line spacing is cleaned up. But then again I’m not a registered user and this is something someone with more investment in this wiki then me should decided on.72.133.47.253 03:26, August 11, 2011 (UTC)
