Evil. In pink!

As an Emperor of Destruction (either new or self-proclaimed), Galvatron journeys to Gaea in search of a powerful energy source. He is a strong and cunning warrior, though a little on the crazy and suicidal side. His younger brother, Megastorm, secretly desires to overthrow his brother and take his place as Emperor. Galvatron is well aware of this, however, and lets it slide out of love for his li'l bro.

He is incapable of not grimacing like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toy, even during one of his narcolepsy attacks, unless it is...the Final Battle.

"It's 'light salmon', NOT PINK!"

On planet Cybertron, Megatron once disagreed with Galvatron over opinions on galactic conquest and engaged him in battle over it. At the time, Megatron momentarily let his guard down and was defeated by Galvatron!

Later, Megatron noted that while Galvatron was ambitious, he cared for his underlings—and although he was loath to admit it, he acknowledged that Galvatron probably had all the regal bearing of a new Emperor of Destruction.

In the seventh month of the Space Year 1999, Galvatron's plans would bloom...

Note: The catalog's events are ignored in the official Japanese timeline, which has Beast Wars II take place thousands of years after Beast Wars Returns.

While battling Lio Convoy in space, Galvatron and his Predacon forces went through transwarp space and arrived on Gaea. The Angolmois energy riddled throughout the planet proved to be a powerful energy source which Galvatron desired to possess. Galvatron downloaded a drill mode and a dragon mode from information stored in a computer which was left behind by the planet's extinct inhabitants. The new transformation modes proved powerful, but left Galvatron with an awful side-effect: Without warning, he'd slip into Angolmois energy-induced comas.

When he wasn't sleeping, Galvatron fought Lio Convoy and his Maximals on numerous occasions. At the same time, he fought off ambitious Predacons such as the treacherous Starscream, BB and even his own little brother, Megastorm, the Duke of Destruction.

While trying to summon Megatron across time, Galvatron also briefly gained control of the legendary "God of Destruction", Majin Zarak, although this would be only temporary.

Galvatron eventually set his final plan into motion, summoning his battleship, the "artificial planet" Nemesis, into Gaea's orbit. The ship then proceeded to suck all the Angolmois energy out of the planet and store it within itself. The Maximals followed Galvatron and his Predacons to the Nemesis to stop him. Lio Convoy and Lio Junior merged into the Great Green Lion and narrowly defeated Galvatron in battle, thwarting his plans by ejecting the Angolmois energy from the Nemesis in capsules.

Defeated but not willing to surrender, Galvatron activated his Galva-Matrix, which set off a self-destruction sequence in the Nemesis. The explosion killed Galvatron, sent the Predacons drifting helplessly through outer space, and trapped all the Maximals within a wormhole.

Beast Wars II comic[]

Beast Wars Neo cartoon[]

After stealing all the Angolmois capsules from Magmatron and Big Convoy, the Blendtrons released the energy into the corpse of Galvatron. Galvatron's body then served as the vessel of the reborn Unicron.

Universe Featuring the Wreckers[]

After the reformatting of Cybertron, Galvatron and Megastorm lead the Predacon forces in the former region of Polyhex. His army was attacked by forces under Overseer Vashik, who took them through a suspiciously unguarded canyon. That canyon was unguarded for a reason, and Vashik soon found his army wiped out by a river of magma. Chucking Vashik into the lava, Galvatron announced his plans—using the Quintessons makeup as base materials, he would rebuild the great fortress of Darkmount to serve as the new Predacon capital. • Accessories: Two axe/missiles, claw contraption
A triple-changer, Galvatron can transform between robot, dragon and drill-tank modes. In this as well as in his sculpt style, he is quite similar to a Transmetal, albeit lacking the traditional chromed parts and with a more convincing vehicle mode than most of that line. While in vehicle mode, the golden color of the drill bit and the purple tank body's shape make him a fairly direct homage to his Generation One namesake. In robot mode, his chest features a yellow marble that represents the Galva-Matrix.

Notes[]

  • For unknown reasons, while Galvatron's toy was purple in color (similar to his namesake's animation model), he was primarily colored pink in the Beast Wars II and Neo cartoons.
