- Hydra is a human and Decepticon Godmaster in the Masterforce portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Hydra is a human who joined the Decepticons as Godmaster with his younger brother, Buster. They've got this kinda creepy-sexual thing going on. And they're never apart. Both, as vehicles, can combine into Darkwings.
Hydra was an actor in East Germany before becoming a Godmaster, making him good at disguise.[1]

- Voice actor: Ken Yamaguchi (Japanese)
Hydra and Buster found their Godmaster transtectors in America, already in the form of airplanes.
They have near-instant healing abilities, literally in the blink of an eye. This healing seems to be more vulnerable to physical weapons than to energy—when Diver's axe was stuck in Buster's arm, the wound wasn't able to heal around it, and Buster remained in pain even after it was removed.

[edit] Super-God Masterforce
- Hydra (Godmaster Decepticon, 1988)
- Japanese ID number: D-304
- Accessories: Godmaster transtector, left & right rifles
- A redeco of the Nebulan Throttle, Hydra transforms from an armored human into an engine block. His transtector robot body is a redeco of the Powermaster Darkwing, transforming into a Panavia Tornado GR1 fighter jet. It is locked in jet mode until a Godmaster/Powermaster engine is placed into the engine socket on his back (or until you push down the relevant buttons in said socket). Once "unlocked", it can also form the back half of the "Darkwings" super-jet.

- A Darkwing-colored Hydra was also made available in Japan via mail-order. He cost 1980 yen and four robot points.
