Operation Combination takes place after the Return of Convoy. Operation Combination focuses on several combiner warriors, both Autobot and Decepticon.

Führer Scrash, the new Decepticon leader , sends Battle Gaia and a troop of Decepticons to take Earth. The Autobots, headlined by Guard City defend the planet.

Operation Combination is a continuation of the animated series continuity. However, nothing of Operation Combination was ever actually animated. Instead, the stories were told exclusively through "story pages" in TV Magazine.
