Power Station Alpha is the prototype for a United States government-created mobile, Transforming nuclear power plant, designed to solve Earth's energy problems. The Decepticons, aided unwittingly by Cobra, aim to use its abilities to destroy Earth, modifying it by adding a drill mode, rocket mode, and underwater capabilities to its original aircraft mode.
