- Razor Claw is a Mutant from the Beast Wars portion of the Generation 1/Beast Era continuity family.
Razor Claw is loyal, self-sacrificing warrior, who fights with crusader-like enthusiasm. He harbours a secret jealously towards those Transformers who still possess a robot mode. As a wolverine, his tremendous speed borders on teleportation. As a velociraptor, he is impervious to firepower.

The Mutants report along with the Dinobots and the Wreckers to the Oracle and are given a mission to fullfill: to save Cybertron's future. It was all a set-up however, by Cryotek and the Quintessons, and the Mutants are led instead to their apparent deaths by Sharkticons.

- Razor Claw (Mutant, 2000)
- Razor Claw was a deluxe-sized toy, and could transform between a velociraptor and a (green) wolverine. His robot head could be revealed by lifting the top of the velociraptor head. He lacked the 'hidden robot parts' feature shared by the other three Mutant toys. His raptor mode is also very skinny.

- The Mutants toy package blurbs and character bios, as well as the 3H Universe comics, place the Mutants on Cybertron during the events of Beast Machines. (Their creation via Megatron's virus is a direct reference to the Beast Machines cartoon, as are mentions of the Oracle in their bios.) The IDW Beast Wars comics place them instead on prehistoric Earth during Beast Wars. (The IDW comics also contradict other events from the 3H comics, so both of these stories most likely exist in alternate realites of the Multiverse.)
- Razor Claw is the only Mutant not to have appeared so far in the IDW Beast Wars comics.
