Red Alert is a female Autobot in the Transformers Animated continuity family.

Red Alert, alongside Ironhide, Hot Shot and Brawn, is under the command of Rodimus Prime. Maybe SHE is the femme without a tragic past that was mentioned.

Red Alert, along with Perceptor and Wheeljack, helped to create the first flying Autobots, Jetfire and Jetstorm. She seemed to be in charge of providing the code for the data merge. The Arrival issue 6

Red Alert was present when Strika and her team attacked her own team. She told Hot Shot he'd have to amputate his severely damaged leg, but she was swallowed and made into an explosive loogee by Spittor before she could respond to his request for a second opinion. TransWarped

However when Sentinel Prime and his crew returned to Cybertron with several Decepticon prisoners in tow, she was seen among the crowd saluting Sentinel. Decepticon Air

• Red Alert was originally intended to show up in early series but later replaced with Ratchet.^[1] The reason for the rather drastic change is unrevealed although it may have something to do with his slightly more vigorous relative as was the case with that yellow speedster.

• Red Alert's body is apparently based on her Armada counterpart with a color scheme resembling her G1 counterpart.
