The simian Rotgut is a dull-witted, vicious bully. He's got the strength and the toughness to back up his belligerence - unless his victims decide to fight back.

Rotgut was part of a marauding group of mutants who encountered the young Autobots Tailgate, Flattop and Subsea in the Underworld when the trio foolishly decided to take the ancient Autobot "trial by fire". At Slayride's urging, Rotgut told the terrified cadets of their intention to murder them, and chased them through the subterranean tunnels. Rotgut was the only mutant to survive the destruction of Smeltdown, but he met his end soon enough when Tailgate tossed him into Smeltdown's flaming wreckage. Underworld!
