- Shield Dragon is a Beastformer in the Generation 1 continuity family.
Shield Dragon is one of the Decepticon Beastformers fighting a war on the planet Beest. His role in the Decepticon Beastformer forces is a communications soldier. He also holds the rank of Emperor of Jigard under King Cobrander. How these two jobs fit together isn't explained. His place of birth is the Dragon Peninsula.

- Shield Dragon is an anthropomorphic frilled lizard in high-tech dark blue armor. He comes with his "Teleprojector" blade. He came with one of three rubsigns, revealing the elemental power of fire, water, or wood.
