I'm failing to see a 'solid red' Rainmaker.. both when watching the episode and in the picture provided on the page. I have a theory for the red.. so here goes.

Firstly, let's look at what all the Rainmakers have in common. Same color faces (black/grey/red eyes).. same color canopies (orange).. same red line on the wings.. same purple Decepticon logos on the wings.. the bodies are colored exactly the same, just with different colors (green, blue, and yellow).

Second, you'll notice the weapons for the Rainmakers are the same colors as their bodies.

With that said, the extreme closeup picture shows a Rainmaker with a blue weapon. This leads me to believe that this is a shot of the blue Rainmaker. Not only that, but you can CLEARLY see more blue around the supposed 'solid' red (that is a separate shade of blue than the Cybertronian sky). In fact, the red looks more like a stripe.

I've watched that scene over a dozen times, and it looks like a red stripe to me.. not a 'solid red jet'. Where the red stripe came from.. I have no idea. I'd assume the red stripe on the wings in their robots modes would also be placed on their wings in jet mode, not somewhere close to the nose.
