Gonna throw out some Random Wild Guessing and go out on a limb, but I'm guessing that the 5th member of the “Dead Universe” team seen on the last page is Mindset.

My evidence is flimsy, but here goes none the less...

• Colour: Green and possibly white. He's more heavily shadowed then the others, so its not entirely clear, but I'd be more inclined to say his other colour is white then anything else.

• Design: Mindset's design in the G2 comic was based on Onslaught's G1 animation model. This guy has more then a few links to Onslaught's toy design (and, by extension, Mega-Octane's animation model)

The chest design, with the raised wing area, is a rather close match for Onslaught's

The placement of the treads corresponds to the wheels on Onslaught's robot mode – and in the G2 Comic, Mindset's alt-mode was a tracked missile launcher

While not linked to Onslaught's character design, what little we saw of his head/fase design was a single visor, the lower half of his face obscured. This could easily correspond to Mindset's face design form the G2 comic – a single visor-eye and mouth.

• Finally, let's be honest. Aside from the “Heralds” Galvatron and Cyclonus, the Dead Universe characters seen so far have been shout outs to the Obscure characters of the G1/G2 Comics – Jihaxus, Straxus and the previously unseen Nova Prime. Mindset, while relativity minor compared to the first two, would still fit the pattern.

Or I could be over-reaching myself. But that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

I figgered it was Onslaught himself, not being sure if he'd shown up elsewhere in IDW. But he was at the prison break, so that rules him out. If this is Mindset, it's odd that they went so far from his original design, with the shield on his chest and whatnot. I don't even see the giant box o' missiles on the back. But the head is close enough, and he seems to be white and green... --ItsWalky 00:00, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

It's apparently a new character named Grindcore, according to Drivaaar, who was the issue's colorist. [1]. --KilMichaelMcC 00:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
