Talk:Wheelie (G1)
From Teletraan I: The Transformers Wiki
I applaud the profile. --ItsWalky 22:03, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's amazing how many sentences can rhyme without not making sense. American Girl 19:28, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, on second thought, I applaud the concept of the bio, but think the content is more appropriate for the animated continuity section. It seems to chronicle the circumstances of the movie, and not his personality. (Remember, in Dreamwave, he was never on Quintessa that we saw.) --ItsWalky 22:05, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
- Point conceded. The new bio's better than mine anyway. The whole entry is much improved. So many horrible rhymes...bwahahahahaha. --Autobus Prime 12:30, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
We totally need to complete this entry. This deserves to be a Featured Article. sadly, I'm pretty awful about fiction. I OWN most of it, but don't REMEMBER it very well. --M Sipher 06:20, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
Having just rhymed all through the section I just added, I have no idea how Wheelie keeps it up 24/7. Exhausting! --Ratbat 09:06, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Rhyming isn't really all that hard if you have the vocabulary of a bard. --Andrusi 13:05, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
Fixed the manga summary to rhyme and keep the gag going. Though I think I write rhymes more like Dr. Seuss than Wheelie...--DrSpengler 23:05, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm fine with the rhyming in the article, but the rhythm really needs work. I'd change it, but I'm afraid of being accused of ripping apart large sections of the article for no good reason (see Walky's comment below).--G.B. Blackrock 22:56, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Not yet to be Featured
Sipher, the reason I unfeatured it is because the inconsistency of the rhyme's meter is really embarrassing. If you read the history, you'll see my note. --ItsWalky 14:57, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Then maybe you should have removed the "Featured Article" Category, which is why I put the tag on it (and is still there as of your last edit). --M Sipher 15:37, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
- Indeed I should! Meanwhile, history is your friend. --ItsWalky 15:43, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Commercial voice
Walky, Frank Welker never VOICED Scrappy-Doo! He did, however, voice Peewit. --Monzo 12:57, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Welker did voice Zzcooby & Freddy in new show! Wazzpinator 18:33, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Italian names
I don't have the brainpower to add these in rhyme tonight. If somebody could, Wheelie was called Saetta in the dub of TFTM, and... apparently Scooter in everything else. (At least, it doesn't SEEM to be a joke...) --Monzo 05:06, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jizaitoys design
Where does the information come from that Klaus Scherwinski usezd Jizaitoys design? http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Wheelie#Trivia --GUIGUI 21:48, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- It looks exactly like the Jizai design. The kneecap wheels are the biggest giveaway. Chip 22:05, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- Except Jizai design already look exactly like the animation model: http://stars.ign.com/articles/847/847909p1.html The difficulty here, is that Jizai did a too good of a work at doing a truly faithful Wheelie. It's so well executed that drawing him from his animation model or from Jizai design would give the exact same result. I'm not sure mentioning the kneepad does make it. It's a tough call, but it still has a blurriness of speculation. Does Klaus mention somewhere where he took his design?--GUIGUI 22:43, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- But character model Wheelie doesn't HAVE wheels on his knees. Which is why it's a giveaway. (among several other traits in common) --ItsWalky 23:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- I own the Jizai kit, and is it NOT an exact match for the animation model. The entire boot as drawn by Klaus matches the Jizai Wheelie, not the simpler animation model. The animation model does not have wheels in the bicep, which the Jizai and Klaus Wheelies do. The Klaus/Jizai head is set back further in the body than the animation model, which blends the head into the torso. It's all in the little details that are on the Jizai kit and Klaus drawings, but NOT on the old animation model. --M Sipher 23:13, 17 June 2008 (UTC)
- OK, after seeing this: http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=6056 i don't doubt anymore either. Even if nothing official has been said, this is Jizai's design.--GUIGUI 08:59, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Headmasters question
In Headmasters, Wheelie has a "Senpai," (Pointblank I think,) someone who he (I gather,) had mentored him for training (presumably military training.)
When do we think this happened? Daniel didn't know about this relationship- so was this pre-TFTM, during the extra 5 years Japan had between TFTM and season 3? (WAS Daniel actually put into stasis? Our documentation of the Kiss-Play audio plays is still terribly minimal.) -Derik 22:30, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
- I've always thought of it as being between the movie and Season 3. Wheelie joins up with the Autobots and gets shipped off for a bit of training, sort of thing. I can't mentally picture him doing it before being stranded on Quintessa. Really, I think it's one of those things that wasn't thought out very thoroughly at the time, but which slips in very nicely in retrospect, especially with the Daniel-retcon. Although I've still got no idea where in the KP fiction that particular fact is actually established, but I assume it to be in one of the second-year radio plays, which are the ones that are just a big empty hole right now. - Chris McFeely 11:03, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
[edit] no rhyming
this page should be re written so it matches the tone of the rest of the wiki. - Anonymous Internet Man
- Oh come on, the one thing that defined Wheelie for many years is that annoying rhyming of his. The article remains informative and was done in a tongue in cheek style. Are you really going push for the whole site to be that anal? - Vanguard 15:22, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- What is the tone of the rest of the wiki? There are no policies or guides in place yet.—Starfield 15:26, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Re-write for a match of tone? Not in this wacky Wiki zone!
I always thought the tone of this particular Wiki was that of irreverent fun, so an almost entirely-rhyming entry for an irritating character who rhymed a lot is well in keeping with the set tone.
