The Watch-Bot is a Decepticon from the Dark of the Moon portion of the live-action film continuity family.
Watchbot-concept

The Watch-Bot is an expert in covert surveillance. He likes to get under people's skin, literally. He can latch on a target, undetected, and stay there until he has gathered the relevant information. He then drops off and sneaks back to base.

Dylan Gould gives his "Watch" to Sam Witwicky. The Watch-bot connected itself to Sam's nervous system for the purpose of finding out what the Autobot's plans for a counterattack against the Decepticons was. He accompanied Sam to the base set-up by NEST at the launch site of Xantium. Afterwards, he went with Sam to the launch of the Xantium, and witnessed the destruction of it by Starscream, then Watch-bot disconnected and began to slither through the bundled cables and grating of the platform they were standing on. Sam, furious at the Decepticon for what it did to him, stomped it with all his strength, killing it. Dark of the Moon

Note: The watch-bot’s involvement in the preceding events, or events mostly similar, were also chronicled in the novels Dark of the Moon and The Junior Novel, the Dark of the Moon Movie Adaptation comic and the Movie Trilogy manga.

Notes[]

  • While it goes unnamed in the film, the novels provides two nicknames for it: the nickname used on this wiki comes from the junior novelization, while the "normal" novelization calls him as Spider bot.
  • Watch-Bot transforms into a BVLGARI Diagono X-Pro.
  • In the movie, it's possible to hear the Watch-bot emitting a sound when Sam furiously stomps him. That sound is the same one that any tiny Decepticons do when they die, meaning that the Watch-bot was destroyed in the film. In the novelization and junior novelization, the Watch-bot managed to escape, while in the comic adaptation, Sam manages to destroy him with Epps' help.
